An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a social media post.
