Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Beach
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended California beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Footage shared online depict the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then falling near the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
