Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any damage is unclear and the US has yet to issue a statement.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported wreckage fell on a populated district in the capital, resulting in some material damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
