"In a five-day Test match, you should apply yourself. Chasing balls 'wide of off stump has not been part of the coaching manuals, and that is largely because of the top order."

The Remaining Matches

Asked whether he believed England will secure a victory in this contest, one fan responded: "The evidence suggests the Aussies are just too good at the moment."

Even with the series lost, the siblings are still excited about the trip.

"We are going to have a fantastic experience regardless," added another sibling. "We must adopt that attitude."

An educator, Katie is focused on enjoying the 21,000-mile round-trip as part of her seasonal break.
