English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
