Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
